Removalist hidden fees are how a cheap hourly rate becomes an expensive day. Stairs surcharge. Fuel levy. Travel time billed after the fact. Wrapping extra. Weekend extra. Call-out. Card fee. Ask what is in the number before you book.
Fees we do not add
- GST — already in $170/hr.
- Deposit. There isn’t one.
- Cancellation fee. Tell us as early as you can if plans change.
- Travel between the two properties — it is in the quote.
- Protective wrapping and furniture assembly — included.
- Goods in transit and public liability — included.
What can still change the total
Time. If the job runs longer than the estimate because of packing, access or extra volume, we bill 30-minute increments after the three-hour minimum. That is not a hidden fee — it is the clock. A tight estimate needs an inventory and access notes on the form.
Extra crew or a larger truck, if you need them, are quoted before the day. Packing, if you want it, is the same hourly rate, quoted before we start — not a surprise materials bill.
